AED
The AED course portion teaches the knowledge of when and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

FA
The First Aid course portion teaches critical skills and knowledge needed to assess and respond to a person that needs help upon arrival and how to assist with their needs.

HeartSaver ® First Aid/CPR /AED
The Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course, teaches critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. The course is based on the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC.
The Course Covers:
• First aid basics (scene safety, identifying the problem, and calling for help)
• Medical emergencies (choking, causes of respiratory distress, shock, allergic reactions)
• Injury emergencies (controlling bleeding, stabilizing broken bones, and burns)
• Environmental emergencies (bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies)
• Adult CPR AED
• Child CPR AED
• Infant CPR AED
